She had a successful junior career in both the hunter and jumper rings. She turned professional in 2002 and since then she has successfully trained many young riders and horses and helped them realize their full potential. She has taken many of her young riders to Pony Finals, Junior Hunter Finals, Zone Finals, and Stirrup Cup Finals over the last several years with great success. A member of USEF and USHJA as well as many local affiliates, she has trained and coached countless horses and students to year-end awards in equitation, hunters, and jumpers. She has a sense of pride watching her young riders achieve their individual goals. She believes in perfecting the basics, and emphasizing the fundamentals of good riding and horsemanship.

Emily Jefferson

Emily Jefferson, trainer, began riding at age 8 and has been a part of Heritage Acres Stables since 2012. Emily spent her junior years riding in Maryland and participated on her local IEA team with much success. After graduating high school she attended Messiah College to achieve a degree in Pre-K – 4 Education. While attending college, Emily started taking lessons at Heritage Acres Stables. Emily and Megghan hit it off from the start and formed a great friendship. With so many new students wanting to learn how to ride, Emily decided to begin her teaching career in the horse industry. She became an instructor and with her background in education the kids love her! In the few short years she has been instructing, she has taken riders from leadline to year end championships. She looks forward to her future with her students and their continued growth and success.
